Independent testing recently revealed an untreated wall showed, on average, an increase of 6⁰C of heat loss in comparison to the walls that were treated with ProPERLA.
It all comes down to hygrothermal performance. When walls of properties get wet from wind driven rain, the water acts as a thermal bridge causing heat to transfer away from the property, reducing the energy efficiency of the property and contributing to higher energy bills.
Highly breathable
Unlike water repellent products, ProPERLA treatments do not block the pores of the surface. The treatments chemically bond to the surface whilst still allowing air and moisture to escape. Independent scientific testing demonstrated the coating has little effect on breathability and it has achieved the following industry standard - BS EN ISO 7783:2011.
